Description of the course "Structural Analysis of Aperiodic Crystals" 1-4 March 2000

The course is intended for people who want to learn how to solve and refine incommensurately modulated structures and incommmensurate  intergrowth crystals from x-ray scattering data.
In a series of lectures the following topics will be discussed: The lectures will be given in english. After the lecures, all participants will have the opportunity to practice refinements and calculations of properties on Personal computers using the system of programs JANA98 (written by Petricek, Prag). A tutorial with several examples will be provided, but your own data sets are welcome, too.

Program of the course "Structural Analysis of Aperiodic Crystals" 1-4 March 2000

at the Laboratory of Crystallography, University of Bayreuth, Germany.
Lectures and registration are on the 2nd floor of the BGI building (room S66).
